Boiling Water In A Birch Bark Container

Amaze friends and relatives – boil water over a fire using a bark container! A nice even heat is required without too much flame. Heat applied below the water level it is conducted away from the bark by the water so the bark won’t reach a high enough temperature to ignite. Of course, any heat above the water line will cause your bowl to burst into flames and possibly put the fire out! It not only works with bark but will work with paper (although this can be tough to get right), card or whatever.
